Hello interns, welcome to ACS-03!

We will use this Notion blog to share schedules, notes, resources and research progress. As we move forward, the blog will slowly grow! Collective References and Research Toolkit & Resources will help you get started with your research. During the prep weeks, please familiarize yourself with the highlighted entries in Collective References - You don’t have to read everything line by line. Rather, please skim the contents and get a general sense of each entry. Please also spend sometime to explore the Cyberfeminism Index! It’s a super fun website and I hope you enjoy it.

ACS-03 encourages collective research. We share resources and interact with each other’s work. Blog pages like Collective References and Research Toolkit & Resources are open to edits. Feel free to add texts, art pieces, or research platforms you encounter. :)

Over the course of 7 weeks, you will explore various topics in gender, technology and art, and work on an artistic research / digital art project, either independently or in collaboration. Remember 7 weeks is a short time! The goal is not to create the something super rigorous or sophisticated, but to find a research interest that might grow in the future, and manifest it with a prototype. We will also consider how to document and share **our work, not only the outcome, but also the process.

Before our first meeting:

Please read the following three articles and watch Bogna Konoir’s The Female Robot. Think about the following questions and do research on terms as needed:
